I am thrilled to announce the arrival of my 2012 holiday cards! These cards are available now and will be here well in time for Christmas! They can be ordered in packs of 25 and I will be offering discounts the more you order. It’s not to early to start thinking about what YOUR holiday card will be!
I always feel so honored when a friend asks me to do pictures for them. So when my friend Bridget asked me to take their family pictures and pictures for their oldest daughter who had just turned 5 I was thrilled! We used to work together back in another life (it seems) at an insurance agency. I am so glad I got to know her there because she is one of the nicest women you will ever meet and her and her huband make a wonderful couple. And if you don’t notice from these pictures they also make beautiful babies!
At the family’s request we met down in Olde Town Mankato and it was the first time I’d shot there. Man are there some gorgeous brick buildings to use for backdrops along with some beautiful vines. You never know what you’ll find when you walk down an alley…this time it was all good! Their family shots turned out great but my very favorite from the session was the black & white I took of their youngest daughter and her strawberry shaped face. She is going to be a heartbreaker some day (all of them are actually).
Thank you Whipps family for trusting me with your family memories and I hope you loved these as much as I do!
This was my very first set of twins! I had so much fun preparing for this session. I could have made an entire Pinterest board for it. I was very excited to try my hand at a set of twins but a little nervous with having two babies to try and maneuver, so I brought along an assistant (thanks Brittni) and we had a blast! It was so much fun working with these itty bittys and chatting with their parents. What a wonderful family! The babies spent a little time in the hospital after they were born because they came early but there were strong and healthy when we were there. They also have the sweetest big brother! He was such a ham for pictures too!
I was so happy to get a little smile from Brinlee. She really loves her brothers.
I think this may be one of my favorite family shots of all time.
I just love this picture of Zachary in this hat from my friend over at SnuggleTime Knits!
They are going to grow up being the best of buds!
I can’t wait to see these guys again next month!
This little man’s momma was referred to me by a friend and I am so glad! Paxton is one of the most adorable little boys. His parents are SUPER sweet and love him so much. We split this session a bit because the first part of the session I drove to in the pouring rain. So we did another quick portion on a lot sunnier day and got some great outside shots!
This first shot is quickly becoming one of my favorite things to do with little kids’ pictures. How fun is it to have all these fun facts about the little one at a specific age!
These girls are 16 and 21 so mom wanted to have some pictures to celebrate the milestone. They also invited grandma along to have some three generations photos. It is a wonderful thing to be able to celebrate all these beautiful ladies in the same family.
I had such a blast with these ladies it was unbelievale. I haven’t really worked with a lot of teenage girls and these two were a riot. I even learned a few new slang terms. Makes me look forward to working with seniors this summer!
It was such a pleasure meeting this little sweetheart and his wonderful family a few weeks ago. Even at 3 weeks he was a great sleeper so we could get a few sleeping shots. This family was so sweet and easy to work with. Looking at the eyes of big brother these boys are going to be heartbreakers!
I have scheduled my first mini-session for April 21st! Sessions will be $25 and include a free 8×10 picture. You will be able to order more prints than that if you like. Each session will be 20 minutes in length and will be done in my home. It will be a great time to get those Mother’s Day gifts for all those grandmas and mommies you need to treat special!!
Call me at 507-317-4280 or email me at email@example.com to reserve your spot!
This is my first post on my new blogsite and I am so excited that it is for this amazing family! I met Autumn’s mom, Angie, through facebook because she is the Executive Director of an organization called Lasting Imprint. Lasting Imprint is a “non-profit corporation established by individuals committed to fighting congenital heart defects by funding research, helping families and educating communities” and since I have a son with a heart defect it is great to connect with others who do as well. At the time we set up the session I did not realize it but her daddy, Ryan, is also in the Army. He was lucky enough to be home for the birth of his baby girl but had to leave not long after. We got some great shots with daddy’s gear! Also, turns out Ryan is a hunter and wants to meet my hubby and do some hunting with him so maybe my hubby will have a new hunting buddy when he gets home.
Autumn’s parents are some of the nicest people I’ve ever met. Grateful and kind. It was so great getting to know them over the few hours we spent together. I am so happy to have met them and their beautiful little girl! Congratulations and thank you Angie & Ryan!
I am absolutely thrilled with the results of this shoot. I am still learning SO much each time I do a shoot and look forward to MANY more!
