Hi all...my name is Misty! I am a mother, wife and major multi-tasker. I enjoy baking, making and building. I am always busy with some project...just ask my husband! I have enjoyed photography for as long as I can remember but only recently has it become a passion.
I am an on-location photographer serving the greater Mankato area striving to capture the true essence of a personality when I take pictures. I am not all about the perfect pose or the perfect smile...that is not what makes a photo perfect. I look forward to capturing memories that will stay with you forever!

I always feel so honored when a friend asks me to do pictures for them. So when my friend Bridget asked me to take their family pictures and pictures for their oldest daughter who had just turned 5 I was thrilled! We used to work together back in another life (it seems) at an insurance agency. I am so glad I got to know her there because she is one of the nicest women you will ever meet and her and her huband make a wonderful couple. And if you don’t notice from these pictures they also make beautiful babies!
At the family’s request we met down in Olde Town Mankato and it was the first time I’d shot there. Man are there some gorgeous brick buildings to use for backdrops along with some beautiful vines. You never know what you’ll find when you walk down an alley…this time it was all good! Their family shots turned out great but my very favorite from the session was the black & white I took of their youngest daughter and her strawberry shaped face. She is going to be a heartbreaker some day (all of them are actually).

You probably remember this handsome devil from his twin siblings post a few days ago. Well he was also getting hs 5 year old pictures taken and he is so handsome I had to share! Just look at those eyes and his adorable smile!
This is my first maternity session and I am in love. I think baby bumps are so gorgeous and wish I had some photos of my bump from back 9 years ago. I can’t wait to do more of these sessions! Thank Holly to letting me invade your house and snap some shots!
I couldn’t help it I had to share this beautiful shot of one of my favorite clients! Remember this baby? She is growing quickly! This is sweet baby Autumn and I am so enjoying watching her grow up!
This little man’s momma was referred to me by a friend and I am so glad! Paxton is one of the most adorable little boys. His parents are SUPER sweet and love him so much. We split this session a bit because the first part of the session I drove to in the pouring rain. So we did another quick portion on a lot sunnier day and got some great outside shots!
This first shot is quickly becoming one of my favorite things to do with little kids’ pictures. How fun is it to have all these fun facts about the little one at a specific age!
My dear friend contacted me about doing a group family photo shoot for them. It was my first large family group photo since I started my business so I was absolutely thrilled to do their family’s photo shoot. I traveled to New Ulm for this shoot to a beautiful park. The sun was shining bright and it was a gorgeous day.
These girls are 16 and 21 so mom wanted to have some pictures to celebrate the milestone. They also invited grandma along to have some three generations photos. It is a wonderful thing to be able to celebrate all these beautiful ladies in the same family.
I had such a blast with these ladies it was unbelievale. I haven’t really worked with a lot of teenage girls and these two were a riot. I even learned a few new slang terms. Makes me look forward to working with seniors this summer!
It was such a pleasure meeting this little sweetheart and his wonderful family a few weeks ago. Even at 3 weeks he was a great sleeper so we could get a few sleeping shots. This family was so sweet and easy to work with. Looking at the eyes of big brother these boys are going to be heartbreakers!
I thought I would share some more details of my mini sessions coming up in a couple weeks. I have also included some shots so you have an idea what the set up will be. Will include some boy setups as well but this gives you an idea of the simple set up.

Time: 10:00-3:00 pm - each session will be 15 minutes
Cost: $25 for session…includes 8×10
